The jubilant team with the trophy
Not content with recently winning the league, the Homeco Energy sponsored Barugh Boys FC under 9's continued their great form with an emphatic win over Nostel Miners in the final of the Invitation Cup to complete a memorable league and cup double.
Barugh turned in a great performance which ended in a comfortable 5-0 win in a final played with great spirit and sportsmanship by both sides.

The cup win comes on the back of a successful season which saw the under 9's secure the league title while remaining unbeaten.
Barugh, playing in the Charles Rice Junior Football League under 9's section, secured the title with 2 games to play. Their impressive record currently stands at played 14, won 14, drawn 0, lost 0, goals for 94, goals against 7, points 42.
The under 9's are looking to take on the treble with games in the League Cup still to play - watch this space.
Barugh FC was originally formed in 1991 with just one team. This season they boast 20 teams in 13 different age groups.
